how to choose a funeral provider
It is a challenging time when a loved one passes away. Finding the right Funeral provider can help make this more manageable and provide peace of mind during this difficult time.
There are many things to consider when choosing a service provider. Reputation, the services they offer, location, cost and how personalized they can make it.
Choosing a funeral provider with a positive reputation in the community is important. You can read reviews and testimonials online. You could also ask family and friends for recommendations.
Find out what services are offered. Do they provide the services you need?
Location is also important. Are they local or close to where the funeral service would be? This can also make it easier when meeting with them.
Cost is also a key factor when choosing the right funeral provider. Choose someone who offers transparency in their pricing and can work within your budget.
Choosing a provider that offers a personalised service that is unique and reflective of the individual, means creating a more meaningful and personalized service.
Other things may also come into play. You may have attended a funeral that you particularly liked how it was delivered, or for some women, they may prefer a funeral provider run by women.
At Celebration of Life Events we partner with several funeral providers. So please call us for advice if you wish to have a funeral with a coffin or casket. At this stage we can only host funerals when a person has been cremated.
We find especially after COVID more people are choosing a Celebration of Life event or memorial followed by an intimate ceremony where the family get together to spread the ashes of their loved one. Sometimes spreading the ashes might occur 6 months or a year after the person has passed, when the family can all come together and reflect.
